Since completing her degree Leai has sat under local stylist and built up her own cliental. Throughout her journey she began to dream and create her own brand which is called Sense of Beauty. This brand and stylist doesn’t just focus on a ladies outer beauty but also finds ways to touch their inner beauty. Leai wants every girl to be their own kind of beauty. Sense of beauty’s motto is to “invest in your hair, it is the crown you never take off!”

Meet Leai
Leai Thomas, pronounced Laya, is a Cairo native who is a licensed Cosmetologist who has been doing hair since the tender age of 11. Growing up Leai came to an understanding about her hair and its texture and often compared her hair to the other ladies within her family. Leai has always believed in feeling beautiful and being able to do hair has always provided her with ways to enhance her beauty.
Leai started her craft through braiding with weave which quickly elevated to doing sew-ins and quick weave styles to make her hair longer and fuller. Upon completing these styles many would approach Leai and say “ Oh you’re so beautiful” and she could never fully embrace the complement due to how she felt about her hair. She used this negative and turned it into a positive and went on to further her skill and craft and completed her cosmetology degree.
When Leai isn’t working on beauty, she is the proud mother of one very handsome young man. Building a future for her son is very important to her as well as leaving a legacy for her son. Family is very important to her and when she’s not working she is spending time with her family, traveling and just enjoying life.
